The Challenge

This was a large, two-storey, high-end new build designed as a 340 square metre bespoke family home.

It wasn't a straightforward build. The design included multiple technical elements and new cladding products that we hadn't worked with before. On top of that, the project began in February 2020 and was temporarily halted due to Covid restrictions.

The clients were building for the first time. Like most first-time new build clients, they wanted clarity, communication, and confidence that the process wouldn't become overwhelming.

The project also included full landscaping and a custom-built large concrete water feature at the entrance of the home. That required careful coordination and execution to get right.

The Solution

We approached this build with detailed planning and clear communication from the outset.

When Covid paused the country, it paused the build. Once restrictions lifted, we resumed quickly and methodically, keeping the clients informed every step of the way.

Because new cladding systems were involved, we took the time to understand the products properly and install them to manufacturer specifications. No rushing. No guessing.

Throughout the build, clients had access to the site at any stage, we communicated key milestones clearly, questions were encouraged, and variations and changes were handled without friction.

The Result

After approximately 14 months, including landscaping, the project was completed. The end result was a modern, bespoke family home that met the clients' expectations in every detail. Despite being their first new build, they found the process easier than anticipated. That tells us the structure and communication worked.
